At the castle in France, Harper scurried off to the dungeon with her beau, while her Aunt Louise went into the Council Room with ten other vampires who had plans to take over the world. No one noticed her absence. Sexual encounters always took their eyes off of her.
Meanwhile, in the dungeon, Harper had wild sex with Vlad, both naked and unmasked. He was amazingly gentle at first. She kept telling him it was only sex and there was no love involved. He agreed as he gladly thrust his penis into her in any position she wanted. Harper wanted to get rougher. He obliged her every wish and did whatever she wanted. This wasn’t her first time having sex in the dungeon, and Louise had never known she wasn’t a virgin since she was fifteen.
They enjoyed each other for hours, leaning against one wall in the dungeon to the other or on the floor It’s what Harper wanted. Sex with no one watching. Louise never found out.
Meanwhile, back in New Orleans
“Grammy, look what’s happening in the mirror! Wow. Why would anyone show themselves naked having sex in the mural? Who is this?” asked Joni.
“What?” Mazy sprung from her chair and went to the mirror at the end of the mural of Lily White. “I don’t know who that is, but did you call Lily White to see this?”
“No,” answered Joni. “I was thinking of Harper, still wondering if she knows who I am. I think of that often lately. I have a sister, and it sounds good to know. Girl talk… you know. Things like that.”
Bridget came to the mirror. “I see the other mural of Lily White. Benton, come and see this. It’s amazing. We always knew there were two murals, but we’ve never seen the other one.”
“Until now,” Benton answered. “Is this in Italy?”
“I don’t know, dear. It seems that it’s underground in a dungeon or a cave. Why would this couple be in a cave having sex? That’s strange.” Bridget closely examined the other mural in the cave when Harper’s face suddenly appeared close up in the mirror.
“Bridget, look!” Benton was stunned. “She sure looks like a grown-up version of Harper. Joni was thinking of her sister. Darling, do you think this could be Harper?”
“It is!” Bridget's head snapped back as her image was right in front of her face in the mirror. “It is Harper.”
“Let me see my sister,” Joni said anxiously. “Miss Bridget, are you sure this is Harper?”
“Yes, I am sure.” She seemed worried. Bridget’s intuition told her that Harper was not good news for all of them. She saw the same evilness in her eyes as when she was a child.
Mazy and Drake peeked to see Harper, but she was gone when they glanced at the mirror. The mirror went white but stayed foggy for a while.
“Bridget, do you think she saw you looking at her?”
“No, she didn’t see any of us. Joni was thinking of Harper. We were not. Joni brought her to the mirror.”
“Miss Bridget, did she see me,” asked Joni.
“I don’t think so, dear. Lily White let you see your sister because it was your thought. Somehow, Lily White picks up on your thought more than anyone else I’ve ever seen before. You two have some kind of a connection.”
“I feel we do have a connection, Miss Bridget. Lily White looks at me in a good way and smiles.”
“She smiles at you, Joni?” asked Bridget.
“Sure, she always did. Since I was eight years old.”
“That’s amazing. I don’t know what that means yet, but it’s something special for you…related to peace.” Bridget was deeply pleased that Lily White smiled at Joni.
Mazy asked Bridget, “You and Benton always told me that the other mural was in Italy. Harper lives in France with her aunt. Why is the mural of Lily White in that place? Maybe there are three murals?”
“No,” answered Bridget. “I would’ve heard from other century-old vampires. Benton and I are very well known among the oldest vampires worldwide for painting the first mural… right here,” Bridget pointed to the mural in Mazy’s shop. “We would’ve heard about a third mural.”
“Could it be a copy?” asked Mazy. “Maybe Louise had it pasted on the wall?”
“I don’t think so. I looked closely. It’s painted on the wall of that cave or whatever that place is. Benton, we should sue for copyright infringement,” Bridget smiled.
Benton giggled. “Oh, my darling, other vampires always admired us. Maybe Louise Dubois wanted to own our most famous vampire painting and had an artist copy it onto that wall. She is known to be an evil elite in France who gets whatever she wants.”
“A bloody raunchy elite, if you ask me.”
Benton giggled at Bridget's remark.
“Okay, you two centenarian love birds, what do we do about the fat germ lady, Louise DuBois, and Harper?”
“I say we wait. What do you say, Benton?”
“I agree. Until we know what’s going on, we wait. Lily White let us see France and those vampires in the mirror. Let’s wait until they show us what they want.”
“Oh, Heaven above, give me the strength to endure anything this life brings to me,” said a frustrated Mazy. “A waiting game again. Something I don’t do well.” She exhaled. “Okay. We wait.”
Two hours later, Louise DuBois appeared outside the castle door in the mirror with Lady Omicron.
“Grammy, look! Harper’s aunt is in the mirror.”
They all turned to look, and everyone saw her.
“Lily White is letting us see her. Thank you, my lady,” Mazy bowed. “Look, they’re still at that castle.”

Everyone said goodbye to Vlad Black in France. Junior shapeshifted his vampire body into a dragon, and Drake, Benton, and Bridget hopped on his large back. They were heading back home to New Orleans to let Mazy, Darcy, and Oliver know what was going on.
Mazy was a nervous wreck as she smoked a blunt to stay calm. Oliver was in worse shape than Mazy and Darcy, but he didn't want anything to dull his senses. He felt helpless because he didn’t know where to begin looking for his love, Joni. He paced. That helped him cope.
“I hope she’s okay and the baby too. I will kill Harper if she harms Joni,” Oliver told Mazy and Darcy as he paced around the statue of Lily White on the patio in the compound. “She’s an evil vampire to take Joni away from us like that. From ME! Joni is my wife!” he cried. “She had no right to do that. Staying in France is where she belongs… with her aunt and her orgy vampire balls. Not with my Joni.” Oliver couldn’t sit still, and with each minute that passed by, he became angrier. “My Joni is good. She never harmed anyone, and she wants this baby so badly. Harper will pay for this. I promise she will pay.”
Darcy and Jason tried to calm Oliver down, but no words consoled him.
“Gram and Uncle Jason… all I need to do right now is pace this floor until I hear what’s going on in France. I love you both, but please don’t ask me to stop doing what’s helping me. I miss my Joni… so much.”
Darcy and Jason let Oliver have his moment of despair when suddenly Junior and the rest of the crew dropped into the compound from mid-air.
“Drake, did you see Joni anywhere?” Oliver was in tears. “Please tell me she’s alive and well.”
“She is alive and well, but Harper has her, and she wants her baby. That’s the reason she took her away, and she was following her every move… and ours.”
“Where are they? I will kill Harper with my own hands for doing this to Joni. Take our baby? No way! I will kill Harper. I swear I will. And…”
Drake interrupted Oliver. “Calm down. All of you take a seat immediately. There’s no time to waste. Bridget will tell you the condensed version of what happened. It’s a long story for being only a few hours in France, but we need to get going to the hidden cabin, and only Bridget knows where it is.”
Bridget condensed what happened in France to everyone in a matter of five minutes. It was time to see who would go with Bridget to the hidden cabin near the Rock’s Edge. Everyone wanted to go and rescue Joni from Harper, but Bridget clapped her hands and asked for quiet.
“Junior is the only one who can fly faster than anyone of us and shapeshift quickly into a dragon if we need protection. He’s huge as a dragon. Let us do the same as we did in France, but this time Oliver comes with us.”
“I’m ready. Let’s go now. Drake, I’d die if I can’t have Joni in my life. I’m ready to face anything for her.”
Bridget continued. “Junior, Drake, Oliver, and I will go and bring Joni back home. I know how to deliver a baby if she’s in labor.”
“What about me?” asked Benton.
“You will be needed here, just in case Vlad Black doesn’t keep his promise about never coming near us again. Benton, my dear, if he would come here, it would be at night. As he said, he can’t take the light because he’s a different species of vampire, but I’m positive you can handle Vlad.” Bridget gave him a sultry look. “Off with his head if he shows up at the compound.”
“Yes, I can handle Vlad. I’ll protect the compound here for as long as you’re gone. I hope it’s not too long. I will miss you. The four of you go. Bring Joni home.”
“I will miss you too, Benton. Carry on with honor.”
Mazy chimed in along with Darcy. “We’re so stressed, Bridget. Darcy and I have been crying for hours, and the tears don’t stop. Joni’s baby is our granddaughter. We already love her. Please bring them both home safely. Please. We would be of no help to anyone right now.” Mazy and Darcy were embraced with their eyes red and swollen from crying so much. Mazy said. “Oh, Heaven above, give me the strength to endure anything that this life brings to me.”
Darcy replied, “You have an amen from me. It breaks my heart to see my grandson so broken-hearted. Oliver has been extremely protective of Joni since they were children,” she wiped her face as she sniffled. “Remember the day when my son Jason brought Oliver home to me, Bridget? Jason and Oliver are all I have left. Remember when Jason told me that my daughter had died? I can’t….”
“Miss Darcy, I remember all of that. I feel your pain. I remember everything in every family I served. My memory is not failing, but we have to leave.”
“Yes… yes,” she answered Bridget and then turned to Oliver. “Give Gram a tight hug. Bring Joni back home.”
Mazy embraced Oliver along with Darcy.
“Oliver, we must leave now,” said Bridget.
Bridget was as anxious as the family was. In every way, the Taylors were her family. After decades of being of service to everyone in that household, feelings ran deep inside of her for each one she loved.
Departing the compound on the back of Junior’s dragon body, Bridget was Junior’s GPS telling him, “Turn right when you reach the Capitol building in Washington DC. Then, keep going until you reach a large area of oak trees with plenty of moss. From this height, the oak trees will appear to be a large gray area, but the entire place is green. We need to get down into that area of trees. We’ll walk until we find the hidden cabin that’s not far away from The Rock’s Edge.”
“I see the gray area, Miss Bridget. Hold on for landing.” Everyone slid down Junior’s back and began to walk in the wooded area to find the hidden cabin.
Oliver asked as they began walking, “Is The Rock’s Edge a monument of some kind? Does it have a sign?”
“No, dear. You will know it by the sound of the echoes of the souls who were thrown over the edge by the Despot Police in our government. They moan and groan in the pit over The Rock’s Edge. Horrific sounds and site. After we find Joni, we need to do something about this corrupt government. Most of them are evil vampires. Those need to be decapitated and thrown into the pit with the ones the Despot Police harmed for no reason at all so the Dictator could stay in power. Our world is falling apart bit by bit. The planet will survive, but humans will not if something isn’t done to cleanse the corrupt ones.”
“That’s a fact,” answered Drake. “Junior and I see horrible things happening in the streets of New Orleans every day. I can only imagine in DC.”
“Miss Bridget, are we almost there? My heart is pounding with anticipation of finding Joni. I know she’s in a bad place. I just know it.” Oliver was becoming angrier and more impatient as they walked through the oak trees.
“I was here many centuries ago. Things have changed in a hundred years, but I know now that we’re going in the right direction. Listen! I can hear the distant moaning of the lost souls in the pit of The Rock’s Edge.”
“I hear the moaning!” Oliver raced towards the sound. Bridget yelled at him to stop running.
“Why, Miss Bridget? Let’s hurry to find Joni.”
“Because you may fall over the edge. This is a very mysterious place to be. Oliver, stop.”
When Oliver stopped running, he waited for the rest to join him where he stood. “What’s the deal, Miss Bridget?”
“There are sinkholes in some places near the edge. The Despot Police know where they are. I don’t. Stay in the wooded area. It’s safer here. Keep looking for the cabin. It’s under the oak trees, not near The Rock’s Edge. This is a restricted area only for the government, and Harper knows this. Vlad Black told her.”
Drake whispered to Bridget. “Look ahead. I see a light in what seems to be a cottage. Think that’s it?”
“Yes, that’s the hidden cottage. I remember. How shall we approach the place without Harper harming Joni?”
“I don’t know,” answered Drake. “Let’s discuss this for a moment.”
Oliver wanted to rush into the cabin.
“We can’t do that. It’s too dangerous for Joni. Come on Oliver. Think.” Drake said, “I’m just as anxious as you are, but the health of Joni comes first. Remember what Vlad Black said.”
“I AM thinking. I’m thinking that Joni will go into labor alone. I’m thinking that Harper will take our baby if she delivers. I’m thinking Harper will kill Joni. I’m angry and afraid for Joni’s life. That’s what I’m thinking about.”
“WAIT!” Bridget said loudly. “I smell the odor of surströmming. Harper is near, and Joni took her ruby. It has to be that Harper told her the secret of the ruby, and Joni took it. I know this. Let’s go into the cabin, now.”
Everyone raced to the front door and crashed it in.
Searching everywhere inside, but there was no one there. Oliver went outside and yelled for Joni.
“It’s Oliver, Joni. We’re here to help you and bring you home. Let us know where you are.” Oliver screamed. Joni! Joni!”
