I recently read JIHAD, the final book in The Biocide Conspiracy Trilogy, and I was immediately drawn to the scale and intensity of the central threat.

The combination of intelligence operations, biological warfare, extremist conspiracy, political deception, and an impending global catastrophe creates the kind of high stakes environment where every decision carries enormous consequences.
What particularly stood out to me is the history between CIA agent Geronimo “Mo” Jones and Beth Godson. Their complicated past, built around the earlier destruction of a devastating biowarfare virus, gives the story an emotional dimension that goes beyond the larger geopolitical conflict.

The revelation that Agent H may not have disappeared, together with the emergence of Alā al-Dīn and his attempt to unite opposing forces behind a new Islamic empire, gives Mo and Beth both a personal and global crisis to solve.
I also found the story’s emphasis on uncertainty especially compelling. Mo and Beth are surrounded by enemies, yet the greatest danger comes from not knowing whom they can trust or who is truly controlling the conspiracy. That tension, combined with the race against time to prevent the release of Agent H, gives the novel a strong thriller engine while allowing questions of loyalty, betrayal, ideology, and human vulnerability to remain at the heart of the narrative.
