The series begins in New York City in May of 1951. Bernie is a jazz reviewer who seems compelled to involve himself in different scenarios involving the jazz musicians that he writes about. This is a suspense-driven, nail-biting horror story that is unimaginable. If you were on the receiving end of this tale, you would end up with bats in the attic It's hard to figure out where or how it might end, but that's the whole point. You have to read every last word to get the full impact. This is a short novella, but it leaves a punch. It is the bizarre story about a woman who goes on a haunted house tour through an actual operating funeral home on Halloween night.
