|  | | Risky Relationships - An Insightful Look Into Relationships What is a "Risky Relationship?" Any relationship that is not based on God as the foundation and the sharing of a common sense of purpose is at risk of failure. During flight the pilot and co-pilot need to be on one accord following the direction of the air traffic controller. Obviously, if the pilot is trying to descend and the co-pilot is trying to ascend there is going to be a problem with the flight. Likewise, in relationships there needs to be agreement in order for the relationship to move forward.
The saying "birds of a feather flock together" means that there is more success between people who have something in common than those who do not. Canadian geese fly south in the Winter in groups called a gaggle. The group has their destination in common; likewise, our best relationships will be with people who are going in the same direction.
The relationship between successful business partners is profitable because they share the buisness in common. Likewise, whether it be family, ministry, professional, or personal type of relationships their success is found due in part to what they share in common. This does not mean that only attorneys or doctors can have successful relationships but it does mean that they should seek things they share in common to be successful.

Why do we make the same mistakes over and over again? When faced with a challenge,do we think horizontally or vertically?
If you look at the sky through sun glasses with a yellow tint everything will have a yellow tint despite the fact that everything is not yellow. Your conclusion is not based on fact but based on your glasses. We often times see things as they appear, not necessarily as they truely are. It is for this reason we need to ask God to help us to "Take a Look Within."
"Take a Look Within" will result in causing you to look in the mirror. Once we see our reflection we will come to understand that we need to look at ourselves before we look at others when faced with life's challenges. Once we allow God to work on us from the inside out we can begin the journey of becoming the best person we can be which will eventually lead to our having better relationships.
When you think about the biblical character of Samson who else do you think about? Most people think about Delilah who betrayed him, but did you know that Samson was involved with two other women before Delilah? Each of those women had the same thing in common because they betrayed him. They had different personalities but the same character.
