We recently moved to Colorado from Southern California. I was so inspired by the change of scenery I had to share my thoughts
You pick me wildflowers in the valleys below the tower of white capped majesties I know we’ve just met but there is something so familiar about your touch Such… as a soldier’s first kiss returning home from war or the light bending bliss of a rainbow after the storm Your warm arms engulf me, and I breathe exhaling as if it’s my first time inhaling, my senses assign each gentle breeze a song Spreading along a quilted blanket of blues and green your streams of sweet whispers sweep me off my feet I blush at your extravagance, and the picnic you’ve prepared | |  | | My First Spring
We al hope to grow old gracefully!
I remember my first spring
Ready to blossom, a flexible sapling
Waving my limbs to the melody
of the pinecones’ chimes
Resistant to the persistent assault
of each pecker’s beak
Leaving sappy sweet resin
on their tongues
The first rain impregnates my veins
Plump to nourish my fragile fruits
Until they’re full and begin to wane
Egotistical as it may seem
I don’t want my acorns to fall
to far from the tree
Knowing my shade may protect them
From | | | | once upon a time
meeting your prince
Once upon a time there was a prince
Creator of an original thought
Who opened my eyes
to the highest plane of imagination
Reaching out, touching my soul
Leaving his gentle impression
etched in my heart
He taught the meaning of expression
By painting pictures in my mind
I couldn’t forget
Contagious inspiration throughout the days
I blush in my dreams remembering his smile
A mischievous nymph dancing on the pond
Unleashing bliss
with a wave of his magical wand
Turning my mornings
into a midsummer night's dream
