We recently moved to Colorado from Southern California. I was so inspired by the change of scenery I had to share my thoughts
You pick me wildflowers in the valleys below the tower of white capped majesties I know we’ve just met but there is something so familiar about your touch Such… as a soldier’s first kiss returning home from war or the light bending bliss of a rainbow after the storm Your warm arms engulf me, and I breathe exhaling as if it’s my first time inhaling, my senses assign each gentle breeze a song Spreading along a quilted blanket of blues and green your streams of sweet whispers sweep me off my feet I blush at your extravagance, and the picnic you’ve prepared me indulging this giddy girl with a sky full of cotton candy Highlighting God’s existence never resistant to prove your affections we feast on berries and daydreams under the mosaic canopies shade quietly, the solar glare begins to fade as I steal one last embrace for the day
