US Household Wealth Surges

The world's biggest rip-off continues as US wealth soars unearned, unabated, untaxed, and almost beyond the limits of human comprehension. Just a few short years ago, US wealth topped out at $100 trillion dollars. Not bad for a country with the biggest canyon between those who have nothing, and the super-rich. The onslaught continues. As of June 30, 2025, US net wealth totaled $177 trillion. And, of course, $159 trillion of that is safely tucked away in the hands of the super rich. The data are collected and published by the Federal Reserve. With 400 PhD economists employed there, it's a safe bet that the numbers are accurate. My $8 dollar calculator confirms they are spot on.

Once again, the Conservatives and their cling-ons in Congress cleared the way for our 840 dynastic families to take from all of us and give it to the super rich. Nearly all of it is unearned, untaxed assets with nothing in the way that might slow down this wealth tsunami as it climbs toward infinity.

Just as a reminder, weatlh = net worth = stocks, bonds, real estate, minus debts fed by inheritances (untaxed), dividends (untaxed), interest payments (untaxed), rents (untaxed), capital gains (untaxed) and inheritances (untaxed). In order to keep the flows moving (from us to them) requires a constant flow of $4.85 billion dollars every day from us to them.

Numbers do not lie. The absence of guard rails do not lie. Keeping barriers of every kind out of the way so the surge can continue do not lie. Together, they are the sum and substance of the unstoppable dream (by the few), and the unbearable nightmare by the many.

The Default Solution

The default solution is the ugly solution. If left to chance factors, it would pit those who are willing and able to fight against those who do not care about you for one minute, and probably cannot spell the word fight. It will be bloody and devastating with tsunami-like consequences here and around the world. And its effects would likely last a thousand years. All the conditions of poverty would be magnified a thousand times over. Human suffering would blanket the world.

The default solution is about as close to inevitable as the law of probability commands. Here is the alternative.

The Humane Solution

There is a humane solution. It begins with awakening the sleeping giant (that's 99 percent of us).

• We must raise the critical thinking skills of all those who wander around in in the dark – starting now. That part, alone, will take at least 20 years to bring about coherent thinking with the ability to discern right from wrong, smart from stupid.

• We need to reinstate the inheritance tax on inheritances above $10 million. The wording and the details must be such to assure that family dynasties with billions of dollars are no longer possible.

• We also need to call upon 3rd grade arithmetic to shows us the numbers. We need to decrease the dollar flows from the Fed to large banks, and increase dollar flows to small banks and credit unions. We need to boost money-in-circulation by about $30 trillion over 20 years, under the careful monitoring of the Federal Reserve.

• We also need to adopt the Living Wage Scales developed by a team of economists at MIT. Over that same 20-year time frame, minimum house- hold wages would need to be steered to approximately $100,000 annually in future dollars. Profits, taxes, and US debt would need to be monitored by a team of Fed economists, untouchable by unenlightened politicians or thugs. It's all do-able.

It is essential that these changes are protected from the whims, jokes, mischief, lunacy, and evil intentions of all those who love to live in dark places.
