WICKED. Beautiful costumes, excellent production values, eye popping special effects  and music that I love. However, as a dance fan, I enjoyed the rigorous dance scenes the most.  In WICKED, dance covers the screen. It’s like a Wondrous movie dream.I’d like to contact dancers all To give them another dance call.

CONCLAVE. A tense movie about what might happen if a new Pope is needed. Everything works here, special the acting. I didn’t recognize actors like Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci. They were great! Even costumes seem real.   

THE FALL GUY. Comedy action at its best here. Ryan Gosling gives even more than his BARBI character last year. Lots of laughs!

TWISTERS. I like this one even more than the original TWISTER. Maybe that’s because I am now a fan of Glen Powell who plays one of the storm chasers here. The excitement never ends. Yay!

INSIDE THE MIND OF A DOG. Because I am a dog lover,  this documentary impressed me. I watched  three times and learned a lot. Plus the dogs are the winning stars  I will probably watch it again and again.

JIM HENSON IDEA MAN. Wow! Here is a documentary showing how many wonderful projects Henson completed -- and not just the MUPPETS. I didn’t know how many films and other activities  he was involved in.

M A R I A. I never thought I would hear or see Angelina Jolie sing opera, but here she is doing the great Maria Callas! And though the two voices are mixed, this is quite impressive.  

CAT & DOG. I think the funniest movie of the year came from France. And it includes two animated animals I began to love. It’s not completely animated, and even the real-life characters are funny too,

FAYE. The best thing about this documentary is letting Faye Dunaway talk about her fabulous film career. I enjoyed it tremendously.

HIT MAN. As I mentioned before, I am now a Glen Powell fan. He can do any role. This is the film that proves it as he plays a psychology teacher who signs up with the police to catch people who are trying to get someone killed. He becomes  a different person on each job. Gooc work, Mr. Powell!
