Taking a break from the novel, not sure it's wise but there are questions in my mind I cannot deal with through the "Malefactus Conundrum" and Antierra's struggles. So, closer to this time frame and the reality of Lower Mainland life (for those of you far away, think of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and move easterly inland 60 miles or 100 kilometers, to the foot of the mountains where the Great River (the Fraser) finally widens and meanders through her old delta she created in the days of our last ice age, and long before that.
I have been told of power places all over this world. There are the popular ones, endowed with "man" made structures such as Stonehenge and the Sphinx, and there are many others, in Tibet, in New Mexico, USA; Mt Shasta in northern California which I've personally experienced and can certainly vouch for its awesome power. But for a steady stream of gentle and super-high level instructional and guiding 'power' or Teaching, none surpasses this place where I have been bicycling, hiking, canoeing and kayaking for some forty five years. Here is a natural library of information from all that has poured down and collected in this delta over the millennia the River (she does NOT accept "Fraser" as a name for her, rather takes it as an insult) has been bringing down and storing her "books" to any one open to sampling her collection. Here also are the memories of countless tribal camps and 'towns' of fisherfolk, hunters, explorers and wanderers. Here the spirits of those long dead remain to connect with anyone open to their implorations or their desire to impart the knowledge they have stored in their minds. Here also, for me, reside the memories of a few happy and gentle "past" lives lived on her shores.
Consciously I chose to live here (and when I sought other places I was always called back) because of the beauty of the land, the expanse of the waters and the gentler climate. Subconsciously this is where the reason for my current incarnation was going to be revealed by dint of 'knocking on that door' until it opened, or until I broke it down and barged in. In retrospect I did barge in. There was no magic line as in Lord of the Rings when speaking the word "Friend" opened the great doors of Moria. The door that had to give was in my own mind programming and I was the only one who could either open it of free will, or break it down in a surge of need to know.
The River has taught me many things through a dedicated observance of nature's ways in and around her, for her children are forever gathering in her arms; and through the intervention of my particular Teachers. I was to be challenged with the greater concepts that eventually determine the path from pseudo-human to human; from ISSA to Avatari.
In my "old" age now I smile when I hear (or read) people speak of Avatars as if these entities were somehow beyond the trials, struggles, sufferings and surges of happiness experienced by mere 'humans' in the flesh. If they knew how much it's the opposite. We feel more because we know more, because our experience outside the pale of Earthian life on worlds that no longer know of your earthly struggles have circumscribed our heart/mind with compassion. When we see evil we know what it is, it cannot hide from our eyes. When we see good, the same is true. We KNOW. That knowledge is what differentiates us from others. It is what gives us the power to continue and it is also what we suffer of real suffering. To us our personal flesh pains and struggles are of little consequences.
We see your entire world in a flash of awareness and our heart responds as if all the suffering of Earth and all the happiness, at the same time, was ours. And in a very real sense, it is. I know moments when I cannot breathe at all; moments when my whole being is churning inside the great maw of pain that constitutes much of life here. You have done much, through your technology and personal power of denial to block this knowledge from your own minds and hearts. I cannot blame you for to absorb this without flipping out takes many lives, many years of experience to be able to endure the horror people do to one-another and to nature. I cannot tell you how many times in this life I too chose the easiest path and denied the greater knowing access to my mind. Now I can no longer do that. All of 'you' are 'me' and I live your sorrow and your joy as mine. It will be so until I leave here. So do not be surprised, knowing this, that I am not looking forward to a long period of so-called retirement. Avatars do not retire, they only grow into increasing understanding and mold themselves to match that understanding. That is why you never 'see' them around for long. You can only take so much.
To the question, how then, do we die? This is not a black question. Most of you who read these emails - yes some of you actually do read them - are past middle age and on into your last years. The inevitable result of coming physically alive on Earth is to arrive at death. Death, of itself, is quite meaningless. You lose your body, you become spirit/mind. What concerns us is not dying, but how we do it. I broach this subject today because it is Easter day, the day of the great resurrection for those of us who are Christian or who are in intimate contact with the Teaching on the subject. Jesus rose from the dead and had a 'resurrected' body that could move about at will; that could go through walls; that could also function as a real body, could be touched, could eat, etc.
I've always been fascinated more by what precedes this day, the manner in which Jesus "performed" for the people and the manner of his death. He was killed because he made an unacceptable proposition to the Status quo that if accepted would have meant the end of the Powers that be and the beginning of a whole new way of life on earth. Basically the Teaching says you "love your neighbour as yourself." Not rocket science, not even deep. In fact a Teaching much too shallow for us latter day Avatars. But still, what a beginning, huh? Imagine two thousand years of 'us' loving others at least as much as we love ourselves. Imagine a world now where every believer in Christ in some form (some 2.5 billion I'm told) holds the 'other' in every way as precious as itself. 2.5 billion people choose to live a life of servanthood towards the 'neighbour' whomever, wherever he may be found. These billions possess nothing that could be physically measured as having greater value than a neighbour has. What they have they share naturally, easily, without the need for ritual, institution, laws, rules or other inducements. It just is their way of life.
Tongue in cheek here, I continue as if...
OK, we've had two thousand years of dedicated practice and arrived at the conclusion that Jesus was right. It works, simple. Now then, how do we die? Well, there are still billions more under oppression and repression of a death-dealing power that hates the weak and the poor. Now we move to the next logical step. We 'die' for and to those others 'not yet of the flock' to paraphrase Jesus.
When we see the "Good Shepherd" (Jesus then, Avatari today; anyone who reaches out in compassion) head out into the wilderness to rescue the lost sheep, we do not remain in our safe pastures to await the development - either the Shepherd returns with the lost one, finds it dead, or succumbs Himself to the attacks of the Wolves (the System). We are now self-empowered and we go with Him to look for the lost one, leaving all that is safe and comfortable behind, not knowing if we will ever return.
Now we know how to die because we know how to live. Life's experiences over many remembered ones and the current one here in this valley and delta have taught me the above is superior to anything else I've been exposed to. This is how I choose to die. How I wish to return 'home' and use to continue on in serving the ever-expanding cosmos.
Oh, one more thing. For me there is no resurrection. That does not work, as we've seen. The new breed of Avatari have discovered the best way to "leave" and go in search of the "lost" is through physical death and manifesting at our destination through self-empowered reincarnation. Generally we still do this alone. That works best for quick decision-making.
Perhaps today some will remember what Easter is about, for it is another truism of these lower worlds that pseudo-religious holidays bring out the worst in people of self-indulgence and other types of selfish behaviour.
