I Dream the Alien Internet

[a dream interpretation from ~burning woman~ by Sha'Tara]

It's been a long time since I've questioned the validity of dreams. Over the years I've "received" priceless information about myself, and about my place in the scheme of things. Of course it helped that I took these "teachings" very seriously and pondered them at length. For years I even wrote my dreams down so I could study the contents. Once I knew how to "interpret" my dreams for myself, then I no longer needed the writing pad and pen—a very good thing as much is lost if one dictates one's dream to a piece of paper! It's not the words, nor is it the symbolic scenery set-up that gives the meaning. These tools are just the paper and dried ink one gets from buying a book. No, what makes a dream valid is how the mind interprets the feelings involved, the moods of the set-up. Some dreams create very intense feelings, say of happiness or comfort; fear or dread, or those feelings of childish foolishness as when we play a prank on someone or shame that comes from cowardice or the anger/hate when the dream is about seeking and getting revenge. I learned long ago that as deadly as are emotions in the awake state, it is proper to engage them in dreams. For me, dreams are my emotional life. No holds barred, let's go for it!

So, the other night I had a very interesting dream. It was the "almost" touching, or meeting, of two entities, one very well known to the people of earth today, the other totally unknown. The whole thing took place at a "lecture" where it was explained (I never saw who gave the lecture) how much of life is robotic in nature, computerized. The lecturer went on to talk about the Internet as it developed by leaps and bounds and soon was encircling the planet and used directly or indirectly by billions. Then there was a very interesting large screen graphic display of a gray, undulating web. This web almost filled the screen. As the image scanned down there appeared just under this web another one, much less defined and tiny by comparison. It too undulated on its edges and seemed to be sending out feelers, or tentacles. Probing. As it was probing it was also growing in size.

What you are seeing covering most of the screen, said the lecturer, is a computerized image of the real Internet, the Universal Internet or Web. The small web that mimics the large one is the earth Internet. At this stage it is but a weak child, having fed from the Earthian minds who "use" it, although it is more accurate to say that IT is using certain aspects of billions of Earthian minds to feed itself, but it is now strong enough to probe outward, attempting to make contact with its parent: the Universal Web.

It is not known, went on the Teacher, when this first contact will take place, but it seems very likely, barring some catastrophe to the earth, that it will happen. More importantly to you, what will that do? What will happen? That will depend on you, the people of earth. The Internet will do its thing and once it connects (learns to communicate and pass on information) to the UW, it will no longer need you to feed off of. You will become irrelevant to the child, of course, but how will the UW interpret the data it receives from its child? How will it read the Earthian mindset? And what will it do as a consequence of that analysis?

My analysis: It has always been assumed that "first contact" would mean aliens coming down from space in UFO's and landing on earth, or setting up observation ships in orbit around this planet. Many people have claimed to have seen such ships and many have stories of personal interaction with aliens. I'm one of them so no surprise for me. But I've always somehow known that such an approach was too crude, too coarse, too much like Earthian thinking to have much validity. That aliens travel space and that some have come to earth to take a look, or even to set up civilizations and industrial complexes cannot be questioned any longer. But if "invasion" or massive infusion of help through technology or philosophy was a possibility; was how it's done so to speak; then it would have happened long ago, my guess is, right around the turn of the twentieth century. It did not happen and it is not happening simply because it cannot be done that way. The UW won't support it, won't allow it, and it has the power to enforce its rules. Its power is information and it can share that information along its web with the speed of a photon. No other known life can match that. Also, it regulates any and all information that exists within itself.

If some species, some group, some galactic Federation were to plan a rescue mission, or an attack, the UW would monitor the information and analyze the data. If the analysis revealed a problem the plan could not go ahead. All robotic/computerized aspect of life within the UW would take its orders from the UW and not from other sources or forces. Since all materially advanced life (species with space ships for example) are totally dependent upon robotic computerized equipment to function, they are bound to UW directives.

So then, it would seem that "first contact" will be when earth's Internet has grown enough in understanding to begin passing out data, information, to the UW. This will trigger a particular interest within the UW mind as it were. It will begin to scan this world through its child, the World Wide Web, in order to better understand the species that birthed its child. Undoubtedly, it will add earth to its own data web through the Internet. Undoubtedly it will expect Earthians to "obey" its mandate just as other civilizations do.

But what if the Earthians believe this is just another conspiracy, a ploy of the System to enslave them? What if the people awaken enough to rebel against this take-over? What happens when they discover that their precious Internet is a traitor to the human race?

They will seek to destroy it, meaning civil wars and massive chaos.

And how successful can such a rebellion be, given that so much of earth's current life is based on technology, much of it driven by the Internet?

Nothing is impossible... to quote my Teacher YLea.

... and for another time, a very interesting question: Are there highly advanced "civilizations" of humans who can communicate with each other as fast, or faster than can the UW; who can travel space unhindered without the use of robotic and computerized technology; who do not need actual ships to travel from star to star, galaxy to galaxy; who can exist independently, and hidden, from the Universal Web?
