Even though you may have begun to guess what was happening, parts of the book are scary, especially if you are like me and had never heard of the paranormal creature, the Boo Hag... Plaisance has a real gift for writing about the paranormal and creating southern Gothic that pulls readers in. Surely there are no such things as boo hags... Surely not!
