Life's poetic blessings

To relate, you have to put yourself on the other side of the gate.

Some will sit and debate, while the one in trouble wonders what will come of her fate.

Standing out in front of the store, receiving a strangers glare.

She is left with no alternative, but to hope that someone will give.

With a sign in one hand that reads, “I’ve lost my job, I need a helping hand” she pushes the stroller back and forth with the other comforting her little one from the stormy weather. Someone always has something harsh to say, even in this current economic day.She can only reiterate, life hasn't been easy just in need of a little break.

A car pulls up and slowly rolls the window down. The girl tries desperately to remove her frown. She is handed a piece of fruit

by a little old man in a dark spiffy suit.

All the while watching, one wonders is this girl just acting?

Could she be out there manipulating sympathy, or does she truly need our empathy.

Ignoring her own hunger she gives her fruit down under.

Doing the best she can thinking no one could possibly understand. Hearts begin to slowly open. She receives little gifts that can only have come from heaven. Removing the days worry that her little one wont go hungry.

We are here on this earth to help one another. Dont make another feel shame when they are not on top of their game. Instead think about how it would feel getting the raw end of the deal.
