I must have had a yearning to become a fiction writer. I'd seen my mother sit in front of her old portable every day without fail, writing children's books. I'd produced numerous professional articles and two books.
But fiction and poetry? Did I have that gift? One book, HIDDEN IMPACT, told me I could get through the process. Readers liked it. Encouraged, I tried a second time, producing PATRIOT SCHEMES and even more reader enthusiasm. A third book is in process.
Along the way, I found voice for three small collections of poetry (all appearing on Authorsden).
So do I have the gift? The jury - you, the readers - is still out. Do I have a need to write and do I find pleasure in the process? A couple of daily hours of putting words together into a story or a poem is answer enough!
Birth Place: Guadalajara, Mexico
Accomplishments: I studied international relations; was a teacher and educational administrator; was former director of education programs, Peace Corps, Colombia, and of the American-Russian Center, Anchorage, Alaska. I've had professional experience in more than 15 countries.
