I've always, always loved to read, want to give back in some small measure some of the pleasure I've got from reading. Favorites are mysteries and humor. To be listed in Who's Who in Amarica and have my books in print is a thrill, and it really does my heart good when people enjoy reading my books. I haven't made a fortune - prestige makes a very thin sandwich :-) but the joy is off the charts. I have just recently signed a contract with Zumaya Publications for the entire Maryvale series which at present includs The Devil in Maryvale and The Nelson Scandal the first edition of these is already listed on Amazon.) They will be out from Zumaya beginning with the first one in June or July of 2009 and another one each year. This includes the two TRs already done, a TR of the third (which came out in hardback in May, 2008) and a new one I've just sent the editor. The contract also calls for a new Maryvale mystery every year as long as I can see the monitor-(and I feel pretty good among all these gifted characters.:-)nal of course). The first introduces a paychic who works at the library; the second has a medium who holds a seance; the third introduces a healer; and the fourth (the one I've just sent in) introduces a witch (a young and beautiful and fun witch named Elle and has a gory murder which occurs in New Orleans Fat Tuesday night after the Mardi Gras parade. My two new books scheduled for 2007 are: RECIPE FOR TROUBLE, which came out in May, 2007, the third in the Maryvale cozy mystery series, and SPANISH Eyes (a romance-suspense) which is just out in Sept. 2007. I'm proud to say our library here in Cabot and in nearby Lonoke have all my books now including the new one. WELCOME TO LAZARUS got an Honorable Mention for the Darrell Sci-Fi award in spite of not having any little green men in it; the script I did of it is in three parts and the first part took First Prize in the Screenwriters contest at the Arkansas Writers Conference held in Little Rock in June of 2006. In addition to all the good reviews (you can read them on Amazon or my page), I've sent the Recycling Humanity script as mentioned above to the Broad Humor Film Festival and yesterday sent RECIPE FOR TROUBLE and SPANISH EYES to compete in the Daphne Award (published) contest.
