I decided I needed some time off. I've had two books published in the past four months. I finished a manuscript for a third and I have two sequels started on my fourth and fifth novels. So, I told myself I can rest and read other people's work at least for a few days.
It has felt wonderful. Walking on the beach everyday with my husband and our dog. Swimming in the pool, and eating out. Sounds like vacation, not really. I'm still doing laundry and cleaning the house. However, I haven't cooked much the past few days.
My husband asked me what he could get me for Mother's Day. My first thought was I'm not your Mother, but then thought about it, he's offering to buy me a gift. I tried to be humble and said ,"Why not just take me out for lunch after Church"?
He said, "How would that be different from any other Sunday?"
He had me!
I need to get back to Boone's Creek-Secrets from the Sea.
