I write for fun, because I like creating something from nothing.  I like working with my hands and I do a very wide variety of things, self-taught.  These range from automotive mechanics to stone/brick/block-laying to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, design, welding, general repair, gardening, tree trimming and overall general maintenance on our country home and property.  We have a 2000 sq ft garden and we currently keep 12 chickens, all layers.  We designed and built our own coop and enclosure, and in fact, we designed and built our own home and we built our 40 x 40 workshop.  We travel a bit now and then, but not a lot. We live a quiet life in the Southeastern United States.

I hold a first class commercial radiotelephone operators license with a ship radar endorsement and I put myself through trade school in Chicago.
