Enjoy yourself and those around you. Life is at best a gamble.
I learned to play poker at a young and impressionable age, and was playing for a living by the age of twenty. I learned to count cards with Ken Uston, and spent five years playing blackjack and collecting casino chips. I developed a deep desire to learn who had started the many casinos of Nevada, and at the time there was very little about the early pioneers of Nevada gaming, so I spent many hours at the Nevada Archives and Nevada Historical Society and interviewing old casino managers and owners before writing articles about what I was able to dig-up.
Accomplishments: Graduate of the University of Nevada Reno Gaming Management Program. Distinguished speaker award from the Casino and Gaming Memorabilia Society. I have given speeches on gaming management, poker, blackjack and card-counting, cheating and a more diverse group of speeches on the history of Virginia City, Gold Hill and early baseball teams of the Comstock.
I hold a BS degree in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.
