I am a writer that focuses on the sense of place and how global cultures interact. I am a retired international educator and instructional designer. Background Information


I taught ESL for 16 years in the Middle East: Peace Corps Iran, 69-71; Iranzamin International School in Arak (71-74); Saudi Aarbia (Aramco, Dhahran) 82-89; and the UEA National University in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (92-95). I also taught ESL is Chicago and taught in Boulder, Golden, and Denver, CO. I have written my whole life--several magazine articles on global topics and two books The Meaning of the Boulder-Dushanbe Teahouse (2001)and The Cheyenne Canon and Broadmoor Guidebook & Almanac (1992). I am currently writing a memoir based on my recovery from a Traumatic Brain Injury I sustained in Boulder in 2007. My influences include Studs Terkel, Sadeq Heydayat, and Ernest Hemingway.

I currently write articles about health and minorities for the online newspaper One is about the health benefits of matcha and one is about the effectiveness of drinking green tea to lose weight. I am trying to find the truth in an Internet full of misinformation these days. See links below.
