For reasons I don't know or even understand, I started writing at a very impressionable and crucial age -- 14. I started writing poetry and create your own adventure stories with a friend and lengthy romantic plays on my own. I don't know how I ended up writing love stories because I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 21. But 14 was the age I had my first love. At 14 I also started pursuing journalism and did a stint as a broadcaster in the Army.
In my early writing years, I was primarily influenced by Danielle Steele and she's still an influence today. Over the years I have discovered other influences. A major influence on me and my writing is George Lucas. Other authors who have also influenced me are Nora Roberts, Charlaine Harris, Stephanie Rowe, Luanne Rice, Debbie Macomber, Sidney Sheldon and Catherine Coulter. I love reading book series, and many of these authors have series that I've loved.
Currently, I work as a GED teacher. I've been teaching for a little more than a year.
Today I'm a poet of many genres and a romance series novelist. My books can be described as "truth is stranger than fiction" because the characters and events are based on my experiences only fictionalized. My novels follow the life and times of two main characters, Malan Hamel and Lathal Harvey, and they are also episodic and homespun.
