Well you know my name is Lakisha Woodley, so moving right along. I am a 27 year old DC native. Born & raised in Northeast. I am married to the love of my life "Chinkey". He's my best friend, my confidon, my soulmate, my biggest supporter...... my everything. I started writing when I was about 12. My mother read my very first short story, and lets just say she was not thrilled with the content of it (a little too explicit for someone who was only 12). So I put down my pen and paper for a few years. I started writing again around age 17 after my "WILD CHILD" phase (come on now, everybody has had one) and I haven't stopped since. I started writing again as a way to keep myself out of trouble, but then i realized this is what i wanted to do. In my heart i felt (and still feel) that this is what i was put here to do. In the last 10 years (from age 17 until now) I have written a about 30 stories. Some were good, some not so good and some I could barely contain myself with (those are the ones I have already put to print or plan to put to print in the near future). When I'm not busy writing, I love to read. I read "street lit", fiction, mysteries, bio's ..... basically anything. I might now like everything i read, but if i purchase it, i will read it (with the exception of a few i just couldn't make it thru but i wont name names. Some of my favorite authors are MYSELF (of corse) Eric Jerome Dickey, Noire, Leondrei Prince, John Grisham, Trista Russell, T.N Baker, William Cooper and Bebe Moore Campbell (I have many more favorites, but to list them all would take up too much time) That's about all I have to share right now.
