This will be a very short post: Have family in the fire zone.

Cousin has emailed, he and his family are surrounded, but seem to be out of danger.

Sister's house must not be in ashes, believe she is behind the fire, the answer machine in her house 'talks' to me, and it would not if it were not there.

News pics are frightening to this So Cal displaced native.

I'm seeing this after the fact Molly.Hope all went well for your family. It was so very devastating we could just watch weep and pray.

Molly,

I'm a CA native and reside in the Bay Area. Our heart and help is to our southern family. I have many relatives scattered throughout the southern part of the state and one friend that escaped harm's way on Sunday. She has been silence since. To the North, I can only sit and pray.

Thanks for reminding us to bond as one.

I have family in North Hills and Quail Valley, too, and - when I lived in Lake Elsinore back in the late '90s - we had a pretty serious burn nearby in Murrieta. Needless to say, our prayers and thoughts are with you, your family and everyone's family at this time in Southern Cal, m j. Please keep us updated. You know how treacherous those Santa Ana winds can be. I am overseas so I am getting only some information. My family members [to my knowledge anyway] are safe at this time but no one can ever be absolutely certain as you well know. Take care.
