Priorities could run askew, it is a struggle to keep focused.

Luke 6:12
"At that time Jesus went up a hill to pray and spent the whole night there praying with God."

SLOW ME DOWN , LORD

There was a time in my life where there seems to be so many things that simultaneously demanded my FULL attention. I thought all are equally important. Day in and day out, I pushed myself to be everything to everyone. I strived to make everybody happy...except....myself . Resentment started to seep in. I became cranky, I seldom smiled. I was bitter and often wallowed in self pity. Tired from work, my husband and my two kids took the brunt of stressed-out me.

A friend jolted me back to my senses when she pointed out that all these are happening because I ALLOWED it to happen. Indeed, I allowed myself to be the victim.I kept it all in. What I should have done a long time ago, was to take steps to sort things out. I'm not a superwoman. "Hindi pala ako si Darna!!!"

Jesus made communing with THE FATHER an integral part of His life. What made me think I can solve my quandary all by myself? I was so engrossed in DOING, I forgot to really bring my quagmire to God.

So, I went to the Lord in prayer, I told God I do not like myself when I lose my temper. I seeked for His grace that I might set and balance my priorities. The Lord helped me get focused . Now I can smile again.

PRAYER : FROM BUSY-NESS, SLOW ME DOWN LORD,
THAT I MIGHT SET MY PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.

We will slow down or GOD will do it for us. Sometimes we will not appreciate the manner in which GOD slows us down even when it is for our better good. Thanx for sharing.

Slowing down is truly an artform. We can sit very still and still allow our thoughts to race. What a beautiful way to truly focus on our priorities through prayer.
