“Disappearing Churches and States”
For thousands of years civilizations were developed from foundations in religions and national governments. It seemed to be the natural order of things. Unfortunately, religions and governments have maintained adversarial positions in conflict with each other.
This was all well and good before the present age of instant communication, rapid transportation, and the technology to destroy not only religions and states, but all life on planet earth.
Destructive ideas, opinions and beliefs found in the earliest known writings are still firmly held today, even though they were only relevant when the earth was flat, the universe
circled the earth, and mysterious monsters, forces, and gods lurked everywhere threatening humanity.
After a half-century of dedicated study, my interpretion of symbolisom embedded in the Bible story of the Garden of Edin reveals that the "Tree of the Knowledge Of Good and Evil" planted in its midst represents the corpus calossum in the human brain: the physical connection between the right and left lobes.
This hard, compact bundle of nerve fibers is a functional center separating intellectual, logical, pragmatic signals from emotional,imaginary, inspirational mental activities!
The trunk of the tree is our childhood environmental influences positioning our view of reality before the critical faculties develop at around age fourteen.
Thereafter the trunk of the tree bifurcates under irresistible propaganda influences into church and state!
According to the Bible, when we blindly follow the preachments and teachings of other people and ignore or reject the "voice of god" -- the perpetual mind-talk we all experience -- THAT constitutes our personal "original sin."
We become dead to usefulness in the unversal order of evolution!
The time has come to rid ourselves of the self-destructive influence of the past – to let go of the old ideas that keep us at war. We must find new pathways to peace.
The answers will not come from the top-down – they must come from within the hearts of men and women!
