Birds – Lots of ‘em.
All around 3 bird feeders in the back yard.
From my vantage point behind glass I can see into the private world of birds.
Today there were a great number of medium size birds – all black, but of different species. Fluttering, flashing color, scrapping over the choice places around the feeders, on the ground where vast amounts of seed had been spilled over the past many days, plenty for all, and then flying away in panic in unison over an imagined danger.
Six birds balancing in a circular feeder, each trying to get more, while one stood on top overlooking the entire squawking multitude. Perhaps he was the boss bird.
Overlooking my little kingdom gives a great feeling of satisfaction, makes me think of how GOD must overlook and understand the same kind of squabbling and scrapping humans do over problems no more serious than the problems of the birds.
Just something to think about.
