Music and our cosmic clock have always
been closely linked, with some of the
big players in our history, who tried to
make sense of it all - Plato, Philolaus,
Diogenes and Pythagoras, to mention a few.

Much later Kepler, Sepharial and many other
astrologers continued working with the
"Music of the Spheres", yet few advances
have been made since Pythagoras
introduced us to his own scale.

Applying that information to the markets
has resulted in some unique technical
trading tools, for both investors and
traders alike .....

Subject: Music in the markets .....

Hi folks,

There's been much talk about relating the
musical scales to the markets recently, so
here's a little insight into the basic
mechanics of those cycles.

Pythagoras used a base frequency of 64Hz to
calculate his scale, in Key of 'C'.

That is, the note 'C' or Do is 192Hz (3 x 64)
and then he used a combination of ratios to
step up through the scale or octave to finish
at 384Hz (192 x 2).

As other traders have noted, there are many
musical scales, some use fixed intervals,
while others use thirds, fourths, fifths,
sevenths and eighths to achieve the desired
result.

If a scale is written in a different key or
tone register, then the ratios between the
frequencies will change, so while one scale
may "fit' one particlular market, at a given
point in time, it may not be suitable for
use in that market, in a month's time.

Likewise, one scale will not "fit" all markets.

-----

At the same time, there's many ways to monitor
the time axis on our charts.

Some traders use Gann angles drawn from zero,
while others will use an angle starting at the
previous major confluence of cycles ... which
is probably at 960 = (192 x 5 and 64 x 15) or
1024 = (256 x 4 and 64 x 16), for the SnP500.

..... and here's why there's resistance in the
SnP500, around 1152 = (192 x 6 and 64 x 18).

Also, using the same scale for the Dow, which
has a nervous twitch, around 10560 .....

10560 = (192 x 55 and 64 x 165) ... two major
tones (cycles or sine waves) coming together.

Hope this helps you some .....

happy trading all
