Sometimes, we drift apart from good friends, due
to circumstances in our lives ..... then, we can
be jolted back in time, with news out of left
field ..... one of your best mates is gone.

Then, we start to question ..... would it have
been any different for them, if we had remained
in closer contact?

..... could we have helped, at all?

Damn it, life is really crappy, at times .....

..... many rigs hands will be sad to hear
of the demise of one of their fellow workers,
Alistair Nesbit, a Kiwi.

Ali took his own life in New Zealand, after
several demanding years in both his personal
and working life.

He started in the galley on Whicher Range-3,
in the early 80's and since then worked his
way up through the ranks to position of driller.

We were lucky enough to have worked with him,
in many countries around the globe and he will
always be remembered, as a fearless and jovial
mate, with an insatiable thirst for adventure.

RIP Ali.
