From hot and muggy Houston to the lovely, fresh Hill Country, I love this state.

     Where to start?  Texas has a lot to brag about.  We have mosquitos as big as sparrows, but we also have cities, culture, diverse people groups, and amazing landscapes. 

     I am not a native Texan, so my recommendations will not be exhaustive.  I suggest to any traveler that they come quick and get started.  Seeing Texas takes years!

    You have to try the restaurants of San Antonio.  Staged along the Riverwalk, this is romance at its Southwestern best.  I also recommend tasting the apples of Medina and seeing the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston.  Sometime, you should camp in the Hill Country, water ski on Lake Travis, and go crabbing in Bolivar.
         Our courthouses showcase various periods of architecture.  Antique shops, craft fairs, and sporting events fill our calendars.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, just drive our way or get online.  Type in "Texas" in a Google search, and you will get a page full.      Did I mention Texas churches?  Or Texas history?  In future days, I will fill my pages with all the wondrous things I find in my adopted state.
