Cricket remains one of the most enigmatic sports in the world. Perhaps that's why Scots like me can not get the hang of it. I have tried but...

Well, it can take three days to that's not ergonomic.
You must wear all white clothes and then get them green and brown very quickly.
Well, surely they should play in dark boiler suits instead?
Finally the ball is as hard as concrete! If it was a tennis ball, I think we might play a bit more.
having said that, my Lancastrian mother-in-law loves the sport, the scores, the strange terms and the history of the game etc.
Well I'm just grateful that it's a game that can be played in many parts of the world and if you, like me, cant play it, is well worth watching for a few minutes and a few minutes longer when the sun shines.
