It may be historical. Space.com shows a photo of the first planet outside our own solar system.

They report it to be anywhere from 2x to 4x the size of Jupiter and - like The Red-Eyed Planet - is undoubtedly gaseous [within the GQ Lupi star system.] It is without question linked gravitationally to it, they report, though it could be a brown dwarf [a.k.a. a very small - and quite worthless - sun]. Yet, the gravitiational attraction between the two bodies seem to negate any possibility of that.
It is also "young", being only a million years old, in contrast to our own sun, Sol, [which is, after all, about 4.6 BILLION years old] and believed to be located some 400 million light years away from us.
Or, to put it into perspective - as one "planet formation theorist" from The Carnegie Institution allowed: "I think there's a really good chance that this is an historic photo."
If I were you, I'd check it out!

Virolution by Frank Ryan

Our human genome is full of viruses similar to HIV-1. These have played an important role in human evolution and still play an important role in human embryology and day-to-day chemistry. Just how important are they to our evolution past and future?

Darwin's Blind Spot by Frank Ryan

The symbiotic pattern of evolution is everywhere and allows us a very different and fascinating window into the way symbiotic viruses work, since all viruses are symbiotic, including those involved in our human reproduction.
