I wrote this in Aug. of '98 while museing as to what poetry was and it truly is a window to the soul. Why? it comes from deep within a person and sometimes it is not known by that person why or how it came about. I believe it comes from a higher source. However, it tells something about the one who writes it and friends are made this way. It is spiritual in nature.

It is said poetry comes from the soul

So deep in fact and so intense
It leaves a hole where it has been

It is a burning desire to share
With others the joy it feels

To know such joy is to love beyond
mere explanation
To share it is without dimension

So we must put pen to ink
As it flows over to connect the link
