Or how the NSA has invaded our privacy again.

Author's Note: Lately I've been concentrating on my blogs, writing political pieces. The last five or six were commented on by several readers who felt the articles belonged here and not in my blogs section. To catch up: read the last five or six blogs beginning with, 'It's A Disgrace'. My only intention is to publicize the sometimes underhanded dealings in our Federal Government. That said, here's today edition:

I recall asking in my next to last blog—He did it to us again—exactly what the National Intelligence Agency did. This was especially important because up until early last year much decorated Air Force General Michael Hayden was the head honcho of this group. Well, one thing that was accomplished was a change of name for this organization. Now it’s the National Security Agency. I guess everyone questioned their intelligence, as I did, so rather than hunt for explanations they changed the name. Hey, you can’t be too careful.
Other than their old job of using illegal bugs and wiretaps to monitor alleged terrorists, they’re now using ATT, Bell South and Verizon to assist them in monitoring ‘10’s of millions of average citizens’ phone calls’. In addition, our emails are now included in this breach of privacy. When caught, someone in the NSA issued this excuse: they were trying to catch terrorists in this country by keeping records of who we frequently called; how long the calls lasted and so on. It was for National Security meaning everyone in the USA who uses a phone or sends email is an alleged terrorist. Hell’s bells. I assure the government that it’s not my intention to strap explosives to my chest and blow up anything. That has to leave a mark.
As reported by the media—strangely reporting the truth for a change, I think—only Q’west Telephone Company refused to take part in this newly created farce that you have to remember is for our own good. Thank heavens we have a corporation in the US that’s adopted a moralistic stance in its daily operations with the public. They fought the NSA.
Just yesterday the following statement was issued by a spokesman for the NSA, ‘The NSA takes its legal responsibilities seriously and operates within the law’. If that’s true , why is the NSA now being investigated by so many organizations both in and out of government? If the group is honest and open why were so many ‘average citizens’ traumatized when it was first announced they were monitoring us through bugs and wiretaps? Why was the prez so adamantly furious in explaining his right to order the bugs and wiretaps?
In addition, it was revealed by a reporter for the Washington Post that since 2001, with the onset of 911, the NSA now owns the largest data base of information on Americans in the world. Big Brother was a bit late in showing up. George Orwell predicted 1984. Seems he was twenty-two years off the mark.
Next feature: the day I discovered an FBI wiretap on my home phone.
