We determine the truth. That is the hallmark of civilized humans. Our minds choose the meaning it wants. Its all relative. The truth hurts. How much truth can we take until we run?

Though it seems bizarre to most of humanity that Mother Earth actually exists as a spirit. That's not what they should be worried about.

Nor should they worry about whether She is 'good' or not. That goes without saying. We're here, aren't we?

Not even the fact that She is more powerful than we are, that we have to realize we are part of Her.

No, the Spirit, that created and is this reality beside the Sun, has one quality that should worry most people. She's not afraid to tell you the truth.

Mother Earth knows that it will make you angry. The truth always does. And you will be mad at Her. Ain't that a mother's lot? But when the truth strikes you suddenly realize how much She knows you. And when the truth sinks in, you feel incredibly a part of Her. And incredibly alive.

She's a little bit different than the way the Creator gives you the truth. The Great Spirit, in my experience, is poetic, helping you to bring the truth out from inside of you. He put the truth in you before you were born. And He Gives you a journey to find out not just a single truth, but how it fits into a much greater story of wisdom about you. There is a gentleness about it, even as you struggle.

But with Mother Earth, it is like getting strong medicine to get to the point and get you cured. It is an interesting contrast. But then, maybe its just because I ask Her, and She tells me.

Even though the existence of the spirits is still fanciful to most people, when the most important spirit after the Great Mystery does make Herself known, we will get a rude shock about the true nature or our reality. Its hard to accept. We think we are in control and we know ourselves. Our society likes to avoid pain at all costs. That's our goal in life. That is one of the roots of our economic system that is causing so much destruction. Prozac and aspirin cover over the truths that hurts. Pain makes no sense. We are not used to listening to the truth. We decide the truth and meaning. We do not accept someone else giving it to us.

If we are not used to understanding truth we cannot help ourselves, let alone the 'planet.' Its a strange concept to most. Religion spends most of its time trying to impose its truth from the Bible onto people. But individuals have their own personal truth Given to them by the Creator. Mother Earth also knows your truth. You are a human animal, after all.

How do we manage the truth? Just ask Mother Earth. She'll tell you the truth, and then you can decide what you are going to do with it. You can take it as Wisdom, or information. The distinction between the two is not readily apparent to civilized humans.

Actually, it is anthropocentrism to believe She does not exist. We believe in the Christian worldview that reality is only (God), humans and inert matter. Humans are still the center of the universe in our eyes. Interesting how we have removed any other possibility of perception. And we bought it hook, line, and sinker.

An interesting way to present the metaphor of Mother Earth. You describe an anthropomorphic repository of natural wisdom. If only we placed our faith in her rather than conjured wishes.
Best regards,
Leland
