We never take notice of how much we neglect ourselves in order to be true to the hearts of others. It is a given that God wants us to be free-spirited givers, but He also wants us to be givers of ourselves. Now, your probably saying, well...I do this, and I do that for myself, but dig deep into your hearts, do you really?
The greatest gift you can give, is to give a gift to yourself. It's not an act of being selfish, and by no means, I'm saying you are, or aren't. You know who you are, and you know what you do. And when I talk about gift giving, I am not just talking about materialistic gifts. I am talking about loving yourself unconditionally so that others can see the goodness in you with the flaws.
We often spend idol time trying to prove to others that our love is valid, why not prove it to yourself? As this year ends, prepare yourself for a New Year, a New Year that you will be taken seriously, no flaws, no gimmicks, and by far no pretense, just be YOU!
How many times have someone asked you to do something, and you didn't want to do it, but instead you allowed that individual to consume you with guilt until you said yes. How many times you knew a relationship wasn't going to work, but you stayed or perhaps still with that person, when you knew it was hopeless, driving into a dead-end, but you gave in because somewhere in that mind of yours you were not giving yourself a gift of love...it's called self-destruction, we do it to ourselves, oh, so many times.
2007 will soon approach and I ask and urge you to give yourself the greatest gift of all, love. Loving yourself despite of what others think or say, get motivated, reach beyond your half potentials, and the what ifs, and take charge of you. Find your spiritual connection, and get in-tune with your Supreme Being, and move forward as the spirit guides you.
Today, tomorrow and the future depends on you, so what are you waiting for, get started, and learn to love you, the new you. Step out on Faith, and know you can DO IT!!
