Start a new diet for your self image.

How many times have you heard the expression, "You are what you eat?" Better yet, have you heard this one, "You are what you think?"
Eating, thinking or whatever you are doing, you are what you___?

Since we were born we have been bottle fed and spoon fed all of the necessary diets to make us exactly who and what we are today. Good, bad or otherwise, we are what we have been told, what we have read, the lifestyles we grew up in and the things we have learned.

You may have grown up on a diet of junk like:
"You'll never amount to anything."
"I wish you'd never been born."
"You are ugly."
"Why can't you be smart like your brother?"
"Why can't you do anything right?"

Down through the years your parents, teachers and friends have fed you your self esteem diet. You are what they have said about you. You look in the mirror and see yourself in light of how they talked, thought, and acted toward you.
You have been receiving your self esteem just like you did your meals, you take in what others put on your plate. You became so used to the diet that you kept listening to it and taking second helpings. You followed this eating pattern just as you filled up on candy and potato chips.
You have become adjusted to the menu that others have served up to you.

Over time a a steady diet has taken it toll, and that's how you became who you are. This is why you think the way you do about yourself. The most ironic thing is that it became so engrained into your personality that you began telling yourself the same thing.

How did you do that? You were working on a project or task and made a mistake, you take your hand, and hitting your forehead you exclaim, "I am so stupid!"

Now you have developed habits that are doing the same thing that has been done over the years. Everyday you are reinforcing everything others have fed to you.

Is this you? Do you recognize any of these statements in your own life? Does you self image need some correcting? Do you need a new diet?

Are you feeling about yourself like you did when you had on those extra pounds? Do you need a self image diet? Do you need a self esteem diet

Start by reducing your negative calorie intake. Eliminate negative people and their comments from your daily diet. Feast on fresh greens and the sweet taste of encouragement books, self love books and inspirational messages.

Pull out your Holy Bible and turn
to Psalms 119 and read how you were fearfully and wonderfully made. Look at yourself through the eyes of God who created you.

I often make this statement to people about my magazine, "Nobody loves a creation more than the creator."

Start changing your diet today and your self image will change dramatically. Feast on all the positive food you can get your hands on.

Push away the plate of derogatory names, put downs, discouragement, despair and negativity.

Fill up on happiness, positve environments and positive people.
