Hunke, the heroine of "Finding Green Gold". Although she has some problems with authority, some problems with herself and more problems with her love life, she expects a lot from life. Unfortunately her life turns out as twisted as her own psyche and detours keep on coming.

Growing up can take a long time for some people, one of them Sonia K. Hunke, the heroine of "Finding Green Gold". The author Kornelia C. Rebel dedicated her first novel to this character which unites a lot of the problems of modern day woman. Although they are successful at work they often struggle with psychological problems and often they choose weak men as partners. Sonia K. Hunke suffers from various eating disorders since her teenage days. She learns the profession of a newspaper journalist and quits her job when she falls in love with a Greek freak. This free spirit turns out to be quite demanding as he considers himself a misfit in society. After some years traveling through Nepal and India Sonia almost ends up in prison. She can avoid to be locked up but she finds herself in the position of manager for her husband. That is not really what she dreamt about as a young adult. In the end she realizes, that her life is not enough. She wants more: She wants to become rich, have children and enough time to enjoy it all. Finally she divorces and embarks on a journey to realize her heart's desires alone. Her plan includes 150 pink elephants, crystals from the Himalayas and teakwood pyramids.
