This article give three simple steps that can help you improve your writing skills.
The common problems that people have when writing is being creative in forming ideals, showing clarity to readers, and being unable to write without using the computer. Here are some suggestions that can help improve your writing skills.
First of all, you can keep a journal. Each day write in the journal. Start off by making brief, simple entries discribing what you did, what you saw, or an important occurence. this will help generate ideas for writing. Use simple words and complete sentences. As you become more comfortable with writing in your journal, become more creative with your entries. Write details discriptions, and use dialogue. Also when writing use proper grammer and punctuation. Also write neatly. Your penmanship will improve by doing so.
Secondly, write letters. writing letters will help you develop a concideration for readers. This can be accomplished by using proper English instead of slang, and make sure correct grammer and punctuation is used so the reader will get a clear idea of what you are saying. Start by writing short letters. Then as you feel your creativity growing write longer, more detail letters.
Thirdly, when doing you writing use the old fashion paper and pin, and turn off the computer. let your thoughts flow through your pin and on to the paper. If you are unsure about how a word is spelled open a dictionary and look up the word. If you have a question about grammer or sentence structure, open a grammer book. As a result you will reduce your dependance on the computer.
These simple steps in improving writing skills have helped me in my writing. I am sure they will help you too.
