Fee,
I hope this won't fall on deaf ears. I don't know where you are on your program, but I'd like to be the third one in line. I'd match George's and Walt's offer to sponsor four bronze memberships, if this is still acute.

I am sorry to see this not to come to pass; such a shame. So many talented writers who can't afford it will be left in the dark. Tragic! I wish I had the funds to give, but as you know, I don't work, am disabled, trying to get on SSI/disability. No funds. Nada. Zip. But I am not giving up; I have too much to give, and I love to write! You know that. I know that. And I hope one day the folks at AD will see what a blessing this will be to them if this were to come to pass. It would be a dream come true not only for me but for many others who don't have the money. A nice gesture anyway, and I love you more because of it. You are a kind, gentle spirit.
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( |

Dear cuz I wish I had the funds to just be able to say don't worry about the funds that I will take care of it, but life isn't that way and I feel sorry that it didn't work out. It was a great and heartfelt idea. Thank you for trying darling.
Love you cuz

Fee, don't quit yet, I will sponsor four bronze memberships of your choice, no strings attached, if it is of any help to start the ball rolling or to help one or more of our fellows authors that are at the moment going uphill with a heavy stone on their backs.
C'mon my friends, we can do it!

| shall we make an anthology of our writes and set up a scholarship fund? How do we do that?! Start-up costs, Nominations, editors, book maker, scholarship fund management - tricky to organise, tho we could all promote it, and, if we are quick, buy enough copies for Christmas! This would cover the startup costs - i have some time and can chip in some cash to start. Who would have the know-how for this? What do you think Fee? Too complicated? Fund management part especially...Your idea seemed simple - sorry to hear this. ...i like the idea of having a book with some writes by people here...hm..Nicky xx |

Fee,
I know you got big shoulders mate, but they arent that big ok. You did something that others never thought to, and for that we all love yah....I am not sure who you approached or the actual outcome, but I can see it wasnt positive, which is sad. I can only stick to the bronzed Aussie membership, unless I get rich in the forseeable future, but I feel for those who can't even make a bronze. AND I Gotta pay double downunder with the OZ dollar not worth a thimble full of goat manure, agin the greenback, Whoa!
Don't give up, and I implore y'all to do same. Admin has got to cover costs no doubt about that, even though it seems pretty whiffy, perhaps if we formulated a hardship criteria and petitioned management, may be worth a shot.
We would want to stipulate that we don't expect handouts if our means are such that we can afford, but if we do fit a certain criteria, like most things in life, their should be some sort of exemptions.
My Two bucks worth anyhow.
Stay well, don't fret
Hugs
