Sometimes, I just can't help myself..

I remember the days, back in the early Seventies, when "Jesus Freaks" and Hare Krishna's roamed the streets of Atlanta with tracts in hand, believing they were doing God's work.
I believe that what ever you do, do it with gusto. Boy, these folks certainly had gusto.
These days they aren't as prevalent as they were back then, but every now and then, as I go into a Wally-Mart or some other place, someone will come up to me and ask,
"Have you found Jesus?"
My answer is the same today as it was in the Seventies........

"Gee, I'm sorry, I didn't know he was lost."

They usually just look at me funny.

I usually told those jerks, "I never lost Him." Once I chased a few for several blocks when they accosted my kids in downtown Manhattan. My kids went to church. They didn't need lessons from bald, except for pony tails, boobs.

Too cute!
You sound like my husband - with the off the wall comments, but not being ugly when you answer their question. So, are you lost or found? Found, I think.

I remember too. Found is not really the best word, is it? There are many that are more appropriate. Thanks and cheers

Perfect! Though they look at me and don't bother me. I wonder why? Perfect comeback though. If someone does try that on me, may I use it?

Perfect reaction. I usually say I don't listen when someone wants to sell me religion. I've made up my mind and it's between me and God.

Susan
