A detailed definition of a contemporary consensual slave.

What is a Slave?
A question came up on an email list to which I belong regarding whether or not I define myself as a slave. The querrent who asked the question did so, not in a confrontational manner, but in a way that did set my teeth on edge. Specifically, they were questioning their own definition of slave and commented that if someone were looking for "a fawning submissive who never doubted the dominant" that person wouldn't be looking for them.

I quite agree. If your definition of slave is a mindless twit who acts without thought and never questions what they are told, then I will never fit your definition. My definition of slave is somewhat different, perhaps even different than the majority of the Leather Community.
