Why does God allow his children to suffer?
In our codependent way of thinking, we want to rescue those we love from suffering--at least I know I do. I don't want my children, especially, to suffer. And yet, suffering has a purpose that is as necessary to the development of our spiritual and emotional maturity as any other component of life on this earth.
I woke up this morning with a flash of insight and bailed out of bed on the run. I couldn't wait to write it all down. I don't know if you ever do that, but it is with a sense of excitement that I began to write and consider the content of the stream of consciousness that flowed in black ink onto the paper.
