HAPPY 2009: Obama and Me
As Obama assumes power, I am likely to know about the changes in the Indo-US relations, and the new features of US imperialism.
Last night I was travelling by train from Belgaum to Bangalore, and reached alive. At times we are helpless humans; accept realities. I wished to come back on 17th; but I could reach only the day Obama was to take charge on the other side of the globe! I liked the seat on the train; but the berth number scared me!!!! (I am too superstitious to be "progressive").
As the meal was served on the train, I wondered if it were my last supper. I knew that if I were to die on the train, CPIM and BJP would put the blame on the CIA ---- they said that Mr. SP Mukherjee died that way!! I enjoyed the meal and slept well; but woke up alive.

PS: In this photo (taken sometime around Fall 2008) you still see me wearing my favourite jacket that I used to wear in Chicago since my "homeless days"!
