I have made a goodly number of friends and do thank all of those that have become “trackers” and I also thank anyone that reads anything that I’ve written.

A Year Today (6/12/08)

On this day, one year ago, I became a member of Authors Den.

It may have even been on the same day that I received the, first sight, copies of my second published novel, “Becoming”.

As I was looking for a new venue to, hopefully, sell some books – as I am sure for the same reason many of you became AD members – I became an AD member.

In some ways, AD was far less than I expected. However, in most ways Ad was much more than I expected.

Now, on this day, one year later, after submitting 114 stories and 130 articles I have had 130,000 “impressions” and  803 “clicks” and, sadly, only two confirmed sales through AD.  Of course book sales generated through AD may have been sold through internet book sellers that – as many of you know – is just about impossible to track down.

Okay, so the bad part is, in actuality, that I’ve only sold two books.

The good part. The part that, for me, has made Authors Den well worthwhile is that what I write is being read, and commented on, and I am able to read your work and comment on what you write.

I have made a goodly number of friends and do thank all of those that have become “trackers” and I also thank anyone that reads anything that I’ve written.

I had one hell of a good time at the LA County Book Fair and do plan on participating again next year.

And also... Shhh! Can’t let anyone know, but I’ve even been inspired to write poetry.

And last but not least, without Authors Den I would not have met a wonderful woman that I now say BLU to.

Congratulations Mark, this is a great site to streach your writing wings, looking forward to all of your future works. By the by, I received my copy of your book and it is packed to go with me to the beach in a few weeks. Just got back for a few days camping so now I have to play catch up in my reading. So glad to have you on board, Mark... peace and love, Carole~

Dear author, in behalf of all of myself, I thank you and congratulate you for one year of you and AD togetherness,(statistics say that around 50% doesn't reach the first year!)
Now that you have sold two (2) books can't be a Scrooge and start giving cigars (forbidden Cuban Cohibas preferably)
I hope that you have collected good friends like mines and, you been one of them, proves my excellent taste.
For the second anniversary I hope you will grace us with a 1925 Dom Perignon (it will made 85 years VSOP for me and the bottle)
Keep it on, Mark! (I mean writing)
Your devoted fan

Georg
