With the start of the once popular show "Americas Most Wanted," which first aired on February 7, 1988, and from its inception, being hosted by former Chief of Police, John Walsh, it seems as though the nation became hungrier to find out how some of those awesome crimes they read about are actually solved. With that, as a TV audience, we began to see an influx of law enforcement investigative shows that presented to the public a better view of what is really conducted at a crime scene.

Many of the cases that have been categorized in police departments as "closed" or "solved" by police detectives are now being placed on a manuscript, and often times published as a Crime Mystery Novel, or made into some of the action-packed movies we are watching at the movies and on television. Many of these closed or solved cases result in academy award winning movies that we all have seen from time to time.

With the many closed cases classified as assessable to the public through the right channels, many authors are taking advantage of the awesome story lines that are directly related to real-life occurrences. Crime Mystery Novels are becoming more and more popular to the general public, and many of them are abundantly available to anyone who wishes to gain access to the files.
