Author Diana Baird visited Ronald Reagan Elementary School in Nampa, Idaho. Four 5th grade classes over 100 children attended the assembly. Diana read her new book about the restoration of the Idaho State Capitol entitles "The Old Man Who Talked to the Trees".
Along with Diana was her father who told jokes using the puppet named "Willie" the main character in her book. The children loved the jokes and Nutty Bud the Capitol Squirrel.
