Do you want happy children? Everybody wants happy children. When they are not happy they are fighting with their siblings. Is that what you want to do all day long break up fights and listen to crying all day long? Instead of listening to bored kids all day long get into all kinds of predicaments, try something new. Not only will your children love it but you will also.

Find a time during the day when the children are not hungry, fighting or squabbling and when you can devote about an hour or two to them with your complete attention.

This can be reading to your children. If they are old enough have them sit in a circle on the floor or squeeze them into a chair or on a couch. If a child is old enough have the child read to you and the others.

Another suggestion is do an art project together. This can be as creative as you make it. You do not have to be an art major to jump start this project.

You will need the following items:

Some kind of paint.

Crayons

Magic markers

Paper

Children's scissors

Paste

Glue

Glitter

Scraps of material you don't need anymore

Etc.

This list could go on and on. You can have them draw whatever they want and decorate their creation with whatever they want. Don't criticize them if they draw a blue dog. Let their imaginations take over. You can make your own creation and when you are through you can all clean up if there are able.

You can then display their artwork on the refrigerator or tape to a wall in their room. You can even take a picture of them holding their prized creative artistic work.

You will be surprised at how fast the hour or two have gone. You will all have had fun and spent some real quality time together.

Have fun with your children. Keep the creativity flowing.
