You are born and the time and place, the environment, the initial stage is not set by you. Much of who you are is determined by outside circumstances. Your parents, your culture, your age in human history, your health, your mental and physical status, your prosperity or poverty are not in your control.
Helpless you are thrown into life and the world.
Much of the process of growth and maturity is controlled by what surrounds your life. While it can strongly influence you, it cannot dominate you unless you let it. Who you are is defined by the identity you assert within yourself.
Hence, the ultimate accountability of your life lies with your choices and non-choices.
Tossed among the complex interactions of life is the opportunity to find God. IF or How God influences your life is your choice. Your chance at God’s redemptive plan for salvation through His son, Jesus Christ, may be a whisper or a shout.
When God calls you to see and hear of His Glory, it is up to you to respond.
When your eyes turn to God, the world changes, but your journey is far from over. The difference is, with acceptance of Christ as your savior, you are no longer alone. You can still run, reject God, and turn back to a Godless, sinful life, BUT, the promised Holy Spirit within you will be there to leverage the struggles within you. If you don’t surrender to the world, but surrender to God’s will, then perhaps,
