For Your Information...

Your pets' annual vaccines are doing more harm than good...

The biggest Vaccine supplier in the UK is Intervet. In all probability it will be their vaccine that will be used when you visit a UK Vet.
Intervet clearly state, and have done for some time. "The main core vaccines should not be more than once every three years.
That is a fairly bald statement. It does not suggest that the Vets should decide for themselves when they should vaccinate.
I will repeat. "Should not be more than once every three years" -

in some cases, Vets could be instrumental in some of the ill health and behavioural problems in our dogs. Figures show that in some veterinary practices, vaccinations make up to 40% of that practices annual earnings.

This information is not new. As long ago as 2004 the BBC reported that a group of vets had issued a Health Warning 30 prominent UK vets got together to issue a warning that said. "The present practice of marketing vaccinations for companion animals may constitute fraud by misrepresentation, fraud by silence and theft by deception"

and then we look at this...

Antibiotics Cause Nutrient Deficiencies

We mentioned that antibiotics kill beneficial bacteria. One of the jobs of beneficial bacteria is to help manufacture nutrients that are critical to cellular health. Antibiotics will deplete vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 C, E, K inositol and magnesium. This can lead to a plethora of health problems including, but not limited to, anemia, diarrhea, behavioral changes, wound healing and immune health, oxidative stress, nerve degeneration and more.

In today’s world of processed pet foods enriched with synthetic vitamins and minerals, it’s critical to keep vitamin stores intact because they’re unlikely to be replaced by most diets.

The next time you’re faced with a condition that your vet wants to prescribe antibiotics for, it’s important to understand that there are both benefits and risks to those drugs and both must be considered.

Better yet, the next time he suggests antibiotics, it might be time to trade your rusty old conventional vet in for a shiny new holistic vet who may have some great alternatives to antibiotics. If you’re still not convinced that antibiotics might not be worth the trouble, you should read Treatment By The Numbers (see link below) for more great information on why antibiotics aren’t a reasonable solution in many cases of illness.

Interesting and useful information.

I only had one dog, a Pomeranian. He got his shots annually and was always very fearful of going to the vet. I have to thank the vet for providing me with monthly heart worm and flea pills that were all he needed to stay healthy and recover on his own from three dog attacks where he was severely injured until he was finally killed by the last one, the same dog that had attacked him the year before. I never gave him vitamins or any antibiotics and he was very lean, mean, and active at over 10 years.
