“Hopefully I’ll meet somebody nice; we’ll fall in love, get married, have kids and live happily ever after.” If you had to bet your life on it; would you think that statement was made by a male or female? (lol) Of course it was made by a female on an advertisement for one of the thousands of online dating sites. The funny thing is that the ad was obviously targeting women but men would hear it and join for a different reason. The gul-li-bility factor!

Men know it’s always easier to get sex from a woman when she thinks you want a commitment. By running that commercial the online dating service is implying that the guys on their site are looking for a commitment, when all they did for a screening process was ask them! What? Now ladies… has a man ever lied about wanting a commitment before he had sex with you? I can hardly hold back the tears of laughter! That’s why real players never say I love you to get women into bed. It’s the player golden rule (that’s what someone told me… smile).

That brings me to my main man Thomas; he’s my best friend and a notorious online dater! He loves hooking up with girls through match.com and other sites like it because he says men walk in with an advantage. They already know what the women are looking for… and as much as women say, “I’m not like anyone you’ve ever met,” they usually are. They all describe themselves as professional, independent, and career minded but say they want a family. Huh? Hey, don’t bite my head off ladies; he’s the one that said it. I don’t make the news, I just report it!

My main man Tom, I like to call him Tommy B-more because he’s dated almost every woman in The DMV, says that the average time it takes him to get one of these so called “professional, career minded women” into bed is never longer than the second date! Then they all act like they made a mistake but won’t stop calling him later to make the same mistake again… hilarious! I loved hearing about Tom’s adventures because he would breakdown every little detail both mentally and physically about the dates.

Men are naturally hunters… and some women are too. The only difference is that society says its okay for us as long as we are not married. Yes, I do think the double standard still exists in many ways imagine your mom telling you, “Yea, I banged quite a few guys until I met your father and decided to settle down.” Lmao! Your face would fall on the floor; but your dad could say that and get away with it. So in our own way we participate in the double standard way of thinking too. The reality is that women are taught at a young age to look for love; but men… we just end up there clueless as to how it happened. That’s why dating is like a game of tug-a-war!
