Walk It Out

     Initially, the original title for this article was “It Is Written”, based on Psalm 40:7. “Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me.” My focus was on what was written in the Bible about me as a Believer. As I continued to meditate on this, knowing who the author is, there was a realization that I must act in faith to walk out of the old and into the new. In other words, I must walk out the word that was written.

      During recent Bible Study at my church, the topic is centered on the Kingdom of God and its attributes. As a born again Believer, I am a citizen of the Kingdom of God with certain rights and privileges that are outlined in the Word of God. An identity crisis, the strategy setup by the enemy, will keep many from moving and operating in Kingdom principles because they do not know who they really are in the earth realm with the ability to operate spiritually and physically.

     The citizenship of the Believer is validated through their faith in Jesus Christ for the born again experience. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26 KJV). Let us not be confused about who we are and our position. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12). We need to walk and act like who we really are – sons of God, the Creator.

     Authority comes with the Believer's identity. This authority was lost with the fall of Adam in the garden. But through the blood Jesus, His sacrifice for our redemption, is the door for reconciliation back to the Father and access to His original plan and purpose. An example of authority is in Luke 10:19, when Jesus spoke to the disciples as they went out. “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” There are two types of the power within this verse. The first power is exousia, the authority and the second is dunamis, the tangible demonstration of the authority over the enemy.

     The plan of God is and was so awesome that the enemy did not realize who Jesus was and what He came to do. “But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden from the human understanding and now revealed to us by God—that wisdom which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification to lift us into the glory of His presence. None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.” (I Corinthians 2:7-8 AMP). He has deputized us with authority and power to overrule, overthrow, and override all of the enemy's demonstration of power. The Architect of such a grand design, intends for the Believer, the sons of God, to become witnesses who carry this authority and power with the extra addition as a compliment to it all. “But you shall receive power, ability, efficiency, and might when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 AMP).

     Our faith is even written and defined by the Architect, the source. “Looking away from all that will distract to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith, giving the first incentive for our belief, and is also its Finisher, bringing it to maturity and perfection. He, for the joy of obtaining the prize that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2 AMP). We are called to live and walk by this faith and not by sight. This is a requirement that is easier said than done. Even as the enemy strives through various methods of deception, out faith is already written in the book and will be constantly and continually revealed and renewed. The strategy of his challenges is to discourage through the element of time, but the full measure of what has been deposited within has not yet manifested.

     It is that faith that will give us the peace that we need in the midst of adversity. “Therefore, since we are justified, acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God through faith, let us grasp the fact that we have the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One.” (Romans 5:1 AMP).It is written that if I keep my mind stayed on Him, He will keep me in perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3). The enemy battles constantly for a location to set up in the mind of a Believer. He fights against our trust, the leaning of our human character in its entirety to the absolute trust and confidence in the power of God in our lives. As long as our minds are in mediation of the Word, our hearts and our eyes w3ill be opened to see beyond our present and temporary position.

      Searching the scriptures, you will find that victory has been given to the Believer. “But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory making us conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (I Corinthians 15:57 AMP). We have been given victory over the plans and schemes of the enemy. It has been handed to us through the Word. But you must read and know your rights and privileges to receive the total package. The born again experience is just the beginning and the enemy makes every attempt through deception to keep you at the starting point. It is up to you to make progress and possess all that you have been given access to. The keys of wisdom and revelation that will give you access have been written. Use the keys to open the door and walk past where you are and into all that awaits you.

“For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Lightlead the lives of those native-born to the Light.”
