Inner Conflict Is Your Worst Enemy. Here's How To Get Rid Of It.

One of the easiest ways to shoot yourself in the foot is to be incongruent.

I used to work for this huge company a long time ago. Once the big boss came to visit, and gave us a "pep talk." There'd been some rumors that the company was falling apart and there were plenty of layoffs coming.

He "promised" us that nothing bad was going to happen. Only when he did so, he broke eye contact with the audience, he crossed his legs AND he crossed his arms.

His verbal language said one thing, his body language said something else.

A year later (after everybody had laid off, lol) I was in an interview with another company. I did some research before going in, and found the company was not doing so well. They were losing money, and had been for a while.

So I asked the guy at the end of the interview, "When do you think you guys will start showing a profit?" He squirmed in his seat, turned his body away from me, crossed his arms AND legs, even looked away, and said something about expecting positive growth in a couple of months.

Yea, right.

I turned down the job, and a couple of months later, half the people at THAT company got laid off.

It's pretty easy to tell when people are incongruent. But it's pretty hard to tell when WE are being incongruent ourselves.

It creates some kind of inner conflict, that we tend to ignore.

If you've ever tried to get something, and found it difficult, you know the feeling of inner conflict.

Part of you wants something, but part of you feels anxiety or even fear when thinking about getting it.

That's why before going after any desire, it's pretty important to get some inner congruence.

You've got to solve all those internal issues. The good news is that once you do, it's pretty easy to get anything. The only difficulty that comes with getting ANYTHING is from a lack of internal congruence.

Things that you think are easy are ONLY easy because you are congruent.

That's why when you get all your parts on board, and everybody's going after the same thing, EVERYTHING will be easy.

Luckily there's a pretty easy way to achieve inner congruence. Clearing the way to manifest anything you desire.

When I was younger, I never seem to have any inner conflict. Things generally went the way I wanted them to and I didn't have any doubts that I could do them because when I tried new approaches are new things, they worked very well. I especially liked proving the naysayers wrong and they told me I could do something.

Now, as I age, I have become more and more dependent on others. For example, I'm constantly required to "update" even though what I'm using are doing is quite fine and working quite well to meet my needs (for example, I have to get a new electric wheelchair every five years whether I need it or not). The result is, as I face the difficulty of constantly relearning newer technology and all of the other obstacles thrown in the way of doing newer things, I've begun to have inner conflict when it comes to building another new home like I did back in late 1970s to meet my needs and provide an income. I'm beginning to think that the task would be to difficult and time-consuming, not benefiting me in the end. The same is true about updating my high tech vehicle again, the last update was a disaster and I'm not looking forward to trying to do it again.
